  • What is the first step to getting my child therapy?
After you contact Optimum Therapy, an initial evaluation for your child will be scheduled. Evaluations are typically 60 minutes in duration. The evaluation process entails the therapist administering an assessment in addition to using clinical observation and parent input to determine whether there is a need for services. Once the evaluation is complete, the therapist will discuss clinical findings and possible eligibility. If your child qualifies for services, goals and objectives will be included.
  • Do you take insurance?
Optimum Therapy is an out-of-network provider. Your insurance company may reimburse you for our services. We recommend reaching out to your insurance company to verify your out-of-network benefits. We are now accepting Maryland Medicaid.
  • Will paying out of pocket cost me more?
Not necessarily. Most insurance companies require co-pays to be collected at traditional physical therapy offices. These traditional models typically advise patients to attend PT 2-3x/week. With our model, we tend to see patients 1-2 times per week for one hour, which allows us to provide more effective care.
  • How often will my child need services?
The frequency of therapy services varies according to your child’s needs. However, typically children are seen one to two times per week.
  • How and when can I be in touch with my child’s therapist?
Parent communication is of the utmost importance. You can email Optimum Therapy at PTadmin@optimumtherapists.com. You can also call/text (443) 995-1618 for Jennifer or (843) 530-5926 for Lacey.
